Between January 10 and 12, the delegation provided free check-ups and medicine to Thai and Mong people in Pha Mu commune, one of the poorest areas in Than Uyen districts.
More than 450 gifts, including blankets, mosquito nets, warm clothes and educational tools, were channeled to families living in special difficulties and local students.
Hoang Thi Thanh Thuy, head of the delegation, expressed her hope that the programme will help bring a warm spring to poor families in Lai Chau province.-VNA
