Vietnam’s best badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh has advanced three places to seventh in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings.

Minh’s successful progression to the quarterfinals of the Republic of Korea Badminton Tournament earned him 2,000 points and brought his total to 57236.7218.

The top six badminton players remain unchanged. Chen Long’s Korean Tournament victory won him almost 7,000 points but was not enough to overcome the 33,000 point lead enjoyed by World No. 1 Lee Chong Wei.

Denmark’s Jan Jorgensen stayed in 3rd—the top ten’s only European—followed by Indonesia’s Tommy Sugiarto, Japan’s Kenichi Tago, and Thailand’s Boonsak Ponsana.-VNA
