Deputy Bangkok Governor Malinee Sukavejworakit has presided over a ceremony to present the policy and directions against narcotic substances to executives of all 436 BMA schools. She also instructed the BMA’s Departments of Education and Health as well as district offices near BMA schools to place an emphasis on the mission to keep a drug-free environment in the schools.
The objective, Malinee said, is to prevent Thai adolescents from falling victims to drug addiction and getting involved in the sale of narcotic drugs.
She further stated that the BMA will adopt five measures under its anti-drug campaign. They consist of keeping an eye on drug abuse, discouraging people from doing drugs, rehabilitating drug addicts, enforcing drug-related laws and maintaining good management in all involved agencies.-VNA/NNT
