Eddy Merckx (world No. 3) beat the world No 1 Blomdahl Tojorn of Sweden at 40 – 32 in the final match.
Six out of 26 Vietnamese players entered the final round, namely 2017 Asian champion Nguyen Quoc Nguyen (world No 12), Tran Quyet Chien, (world No 15), Do Nguyen Trong Hung, Ho Hoang Hung, Ma Minh Cam, and Ma Xuan Cuong.
The 3-Cushion Carom Billiards World Cup 2017 drew the participation of more than 100 players from 16 countries and territories in Europe, South America, Africa and Asia.-VNA
