The Chairman of the Thua Thien-Hue provincial People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Thien on Feb. 22 received Jean Charles Luperto, Parliamentary President of Wallonie-Bruxelles region in Belgium , during his visit to the central province.

At the meeting, Luperto said that the Wallonie-Bruxelles region will continue to provide support to Thua Thien-Hue province to improve the quality of its human resources training in the healthcare, education and tourism sectors.

Thien, Who is also Secretary of Thua Thien-Hue’s provincial Party Committee, said the province will create the best possible conditions for the Belgian region to implement joint projects.

He also said he hopes that the region will continue to support projects in Thua Thien-Hue as well as stepping up cultural links such as sending performers to the Hue festival.

Earlier, the Wallonie-Bruxelles delegation visited the project to preserve the ancient Phuoc Tich village in Phong Dien district, which is a joint effort of the Vietnam Cultural and Artistic Research Institute and the Belgian region’s Heritage Institute.-VNA
