Attending the seminar themed “Preferences for Vietnamese businesses when investing in East Flanders”, Marc affirmed that Vietnam, especially Can Tho city, is always Belgium’s strategic partner.
The 30-year ties between Belgium and Can Tho have brought many Belgian experts to Vietnam to instruct how to apply advanced scientific technologies to farming and breeding, he said.
Can Tho city will be an honourary guest of the ACCENTA Flanders International Trade Fair, one of the biggest consumer fairs in Europe, in 2014.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium Pham Sanh Chau stated the seminar is a great opportunity for the city and the Mekong Delta region to explore what they need from East Flanders as the region boasts strong economic potential.
Can Tho should send more agricultural officials to the European country for further training, the Ambassador suggested.-VNA
