Becamex Binh Duong languishes at the bottom of Group E after being trounced 1-5 by hosts Kashiwa Reysol in a second round match of the Asian Football Federation (AFC) Champions League in Kashiwa, Japan, on March 3.

The Vietnamese team has lost both of its matches to date.

Two goals late in the first half – one by Masato Kudo and an own goal by David Vrankovic – set up Reysol to dominate the match, and later goals from Kim Chang-soo, Kudo and Hidekazu Otani ensured that the 2013 semi-finalists claimed all three points.

Reysol, who kicked off their campaign with a draw against Jeonbuk Motors of the Republic of Korea last week, were rarely troubled by the battling Binh Duong side.

Ganiyu Bolaji Oseni pulled one back for the visitors nine minutes from time, thanks to a well-placed pass from Le Cong Vinh.

In another match of the group, former champions Jeonbuk Motors maintained an unbeaten record in the League this season with second half goals from Han Kyo-won, Lee Jae-sung and Leonardo securing an eye-catching 4-1 away win over hosts Shandong Luneng of China.

Jeonbuk Motors top the ranking with six points, followed by Kashiwa Reysol who have four and Shandong Luneng with three.

In upcoming fixtures, Jeonbuk Motors will host Binh Duong at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium in Jeonju on March 17.

On the same day, Shandong Luneng will entertain Kashiwa Reysol at the Jinan Olympic Sports Centre.-VNA
