Binh Thuan (VNA) – The south central province of Binh Thuan has issued a temporary ban on the exploitation of mollusc and bivalve across its sea waters from April 1 to July 31 with a view to restoring the marine resources.

During the time of the ban, which is the breeding season of shellfish, organisations and individuals are not allowed to buy, transport, process and trade of these shellfish.

The provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has assigned the Fisheries Section to coordinate with agriculture and economic agencies in coastal districts and towns in informing local fishermen, ship owners and seafood traders about the ban.
