Manila (VNA) – A blast occurred at a major road in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, on April 28 night, injuring at least 11 people, according to police and news reports.

The explosion took place in Quiapo district around 11:00 PM (local time) on the eve of the ASEAN leaders’ summit that opened later in April 29.

Two among those injured were reportedly in critical condition.

However, the police said the blast has nothing to do with the summit. -VNA
