A bomb blast at a luxury hotel in Myanmar’s Yangon city injured one American guest, local witnesses said on October 14.

The injured woman was taken to hospital with wounds to her thigh and hand after the blast ripped through a guest room at the Traders Hotel, police said.

The crime scene has been sealed off for further investigation.

The same day, Myanmar police defused two makeshift devices in Yangon and Madalay.

A number of explosions have been recorded recently in Yangon and central Taungoo city, killing two people and wounding two teenagers.-VNA
