The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) recently published a book featuring the agency’s 70 years of forming and developing on the occasion of its 70th Traditional Day (September 15).

Editor-in-Chief of the VNA publishing house Le Thi Thu Huong said that the “soul” of the book covers the VNA’s development stages, which are closely connected to the history of the nation. The stories are illustrated by a number of valuable documentary photos.

The 472-page book also includes photos taken by VNA journalists during both war and peacetime.

Former VNA Director General Do Phuong wrote in the preamble that the book is significant to the VNA on the occasion of its 70 th founding anniversary. Over the past seven decades, the VNA has affirmed its role as a strategic news agency of the Party and State and is on its way to becoming a multi-media platform and strong national news agency in the region.
