A week-long border trade fair in the northwestern province of Son La to promote trade and tourism exchanges with Laos ended on October 23, attracting tens of thousands of visitors.

More than 100 businesses from Son La and Hoa Binh provinces, Hai Phong city and Laos’ Houaphanh and Oudomxay provinces brought to the fair a wide range of products from garment, electronic products, household goods, foodstuff to farming tools and telecommunications services.

The event was a good venue for the two sides’ enterprises to bolster trade promotion, market expansion and the linkage between them and local retailers.

The fair also helped residents in the border areas access quality goods at reasonable prices.

During the fair, local people also had chances to introduce their agricultural and brocade products as well as boost the export of their specialties to the Lao market.-VNA
