The economy of Cambodia would grow at 7 percent this year, the same growth rate as in 2014, said Prime Minister Hun Sen.

Speaking at the Cambodia Outlook Conference 2015 on March 5, PM Hun Sen said the industry sector would have a growth of 9.7 percent, followed by the service with 6.6 percent and the agriculture with 4.3 percent.

Inflation is projected to remain low at 3.5 percent due to declining prices of oil and agricultural products, he added.

Cambodia's economic growth depends on such traditional sectors as garment, tourism, construction, and agriculture.

This indicates the necessity and urgency to steer to new sectors, especially industry and handicraft, the Prime Minister said.-VNA
