Cambodia and Japan have agreed to grant visa exemption to diplomatic and service/official passport holders for a period of 30 days, according to local media.

This visa exemption scheme will be announced during the ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit to be held on December 13-15 in Tokyo , Japan, according to an announcement of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on December 9.

Both sides also agreed on the issuance of long-term and multiple-entry visas for a period from 1 to 3 years to holders of ordinary passports, said the announcement, adding that the issuance of the said visas will be implemented on December 11, 2013.

Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said the move is aimed to facilitate and promote people to people exchange between Cambodia and Japan.-VNA
