Cambodian authorities have arrested four people for producing and distributing leaflets, aiming at inciting weapon violence to topple the government, according to a statement from the spokesman for the Cambodia National Police.

According to the statement, the arrests were made on August 15.

The suspects had given out those pamphlets at the behest of Suon Serayrotha, President of the Khmer People Power Movement, an illegal armed group.

Suon Serayrotha, who is currently living overseas, is wanted by Cambodian police for inciting criminal conduct.

The statement warned that that making and distributing such leaflets is an intentional activity to create violence and cause serious social instability. The perpetrators will be punished in accordance with the law, it added.-VNA
