The central provinces of Quang Tri and Thua Thien-Hue on April 30 held separate ceremonies to receive trees and stones as gifts from the Naval Force and people in Truong Sa archipelago.

The Navy High Command handed over each province with 21 pieces of coral stone and tropical almond trees – which symbolise 21 islands all over the Truong Sa archipelago.

The gifts are evidence to assert the nation’s sovereignty over its seas and islands as well as determination of the Vietnamese people to defense the country’s territorial integrity.

The presence of the invaluable souvenirs of Truong Sa is expected to contribute to educating Vietnamese people and soldiers on Truong Sa archipelago sovereignty and boosting solidarity between people in the mainland to people and soldiers in Truong Sa./.
