The US’ Chicago Department of Aviation said on Nov. 28 that a new direct route between Chicago and the Cuban capital of Havana was launched for the first time.

Chicago became the fourth US city to offer flights to Cuba , following Miami , New York and Los Angeles .

The service is carried out by C&T Charters, which offers one flight per week.

President of C&T Charters Inc John Cabanas, said the route is expected to meet the growing demand of customers from the West Central region of the US. /.
