Addressing the opening ceremony on March 31 in Hanoi, Dang Hoa Nam Director of the Department of Child Protection and Care under the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, said the initiative aims to develop an online database system on child protection that is accessible to more people.
The multimedia portal, which provides a diversity of data types such as video, audio, text and pictures, will also provide information for child protection organisations and staff, Nam said.
The portal is also expected to help mobilise incentives and social resources for this child protection and care, he added.
In 2015, the department will continue developing software managing information on children in localities while setting up a general database system that integrates information at all levels.
Staff will be trained on how to use the system, thus enhancing the management of child protection and care nationwide.-VNA
