Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao began his working visits to Malaysia and Indonesia on April 27.

This was the second time he has visited Malaysia and the first time he has visited Indonesia .

According to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Premier Wen will hold talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak on enhancing traditional friendship relations, improving strategic beliefs and boosting cooperation in economic trade, investment, infrastructure, finance and science-technology as well as stepping up youth exchange programmes between China and Malaysia .

Additionally, Premier Wen will meet with former Malaysian PMs Mahathir Mohamad and Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and attend a Chinese-Malaysian Economic Trade Cooperation Forum.

During his working visit to Indonesia from April 28 to 30, the Premier will meet with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Talks are expected to focus on maintaining exchanges of high-ranking officials, widening economic trade and investment cooperation, boosting cooperation in national defence and sea defence and improving Chinese-Indonesian friendship social foundations, as well as enhancing collaboration in international and regional issues and ensuring mutual benefits.

The two sides will make a joint statement and sign a number of cooperation documents on economic trade and investment and attend a Chinese-Indonesian trade dialogue./.
