The Malaysia team 1 of Shun Thing and Tech Hua, who won bronze medals at the Southeast Asian Games in 2007 and 2009, ranked second; Samalikova and Pilipenko of Kazakhstan team 1 came third.
Vietnamese team failed to fiere well in this 10,500 USD event in which 18 pairs from 10 countries and territories in the Asian region battled it out.
The Khang Linh Cup was an opportunity for athletes to gain more experience and prepare for the upcoming 26th SEA Games in Indonesia this November.
The tournament was co-organised by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, the Ba Ria-Vung Tau provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Khang Linh-Vung Tau Company./.
