The President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Huynh Dam, wished Catholic and Protestant dignitaries and followers a healthy, merry and peaceful Christmas.

In a letter to all Catholic and Protestant followers on the occasion of Christmas 2011, the Front leader said the Catholic and Protestant communities in Vietnam have always gone abreast together with the nation.

They have actively participated in patriotic campaigns and emulation movements, especially the “All people unite to build cultural life in residential areas” and “Day for the Poor” campaigns and contributed to building the socialist law-governed state and strengthening the national great unity and the national construction and defence.

Dam said he believed they would continue promoting the tradition of solidarity and contributing to great national unity, for a wealthy people, a strong country and a just, democratic and civilised society./.
