Conference mulls over front work in central region
The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee in conjunction with
the Ha Tinh provincial People’s Committee on December 20 organised a
conference on the front work in northern central provinces.

The localities include Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai.
Participants at the event, which took place in Ha Tinh province, discussed new orientations for the front work, focusing on solutions to heighten the position and role played by the fatherland front.
They also gave opinions on a project on reforming the VFF’s operations in the future.
Hoang Khac Trung, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee’s Thanh Hoa chapter, suggested an update on the Party’s new viewpoints on the fatherland front, especially in the political platform on national construction and the revised Constitution.
He also highlighted the mass mobilisation work to encourage ethnic people and religious followers to contribute to the great national unity.
A representative from Thua Thien-Hue province proposed the early issuance of regulations on the front’s supervision and social criticism work.
Other opinions touch upon the amendment of the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front.-VNA
