Vietnam’s Defence Ministry has presented medical equipment worth over 100,000 USD to the Samdech Techo Hun Sen military hospital of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.

This is part of 18 medical equipment packages the Vietnamese ministry has planned to send to Cambodia’s military medicine service this year.

At a hand-over ceremony held in the northwestern province of Preah Vihear on June 2, Kong Saly, Head of the Health Department of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, said the Cambodian military has greatly benefited from the cooperation with Vietnam’s Defence Ministry.

Over the years, the Vietnamese Ministry has come up with medical equipment, infrastructural development funding, human resource training, free health check-ups and medicine for its Cambodian partner. It has also provided treatment for Cambodian officers in Vietnam.-VNA
