A workshop was held in the central city of Da Nang on August 8 to introduce Denmark’s enterprise support programmes to local entrepreneurs.

The event was jointly held by the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI)-Da Nang branch.

Denmark Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam Christian Brix Moller said the Vietnam-Denmark enterprise partnership support programme aid the transfer of green energy technologies, job creation and environment improvement to help Vietnam achieve a sustainable economic growth.

Since 1997, the programme, which backs the establishment of trade partnership between Vietnamese and Danish companies, has provided over 74 million USD for 300 projects and over 150 long-term partners in Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Denmark’s enterprise finance programme has offered non-interest or low-interest loans for development projects in the country, committing a total 100 million USD for 10 such projects as by 2013.
