Hanoi (VNA) Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has reiterated that Japan is a long-term and top significant partner of Vietnam while meeting Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Fundamental National Policies Ichiro Aisawa in Hanoi on December 15.

Vietnam attaches importance to and wishes to foster political trust and further deepen the friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Japan, Dam said.

Improving healthcare quality is among Vietnam’s concerns, Dam told the guest, expressing his wish that more and more Vietnamese nurses would have chances to be trained and employed in Japan within the framework of the Vietnam-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement.

The host affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will continue providing business support for Japanese companies in Vietnam while effectively realising the Vietnam-Japan Joint Initiative to improve the business environment.

Aisawa, for his part, informed his host of his activities in Vietnam, including witnessing the signing of an agreement to supply official development assistance to three medical projects in Vietnam.

He also worked with Vietnamese ministries and agencies concerned on several medical projects.-VNA
