The Deputy Prime Minister made the remarks during his tour to Ninh Khanh prison in the northern province of Ninh Binh on August 18 to inspect its preparations for the grand amnesty on the occasion of the National Day (September 2).
Deputy PM Phuc, who is also President of the Central Amnesty Advisory Council for 2013, praised the job done by the prison staff in education and management work, especially the dissemination of the upcoming amnesty to all prisoners.
According to the Deputy PM, the prison has ensured the transparency, democracy, equality and justice of the process.
Ninh Khanh prison contributed 383 out of 15,540 inmates nationwide eligible for the upcoming amnesty.-VNA
