A delegation from Rodong Sinmun daily, an official newspaper of the Workers’ Party of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), is in Vietnam for a working visit from November 11.

At a reception given for the delegation on November 12, Hoang Binh Quan, head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Affairs, said the Vietnamese Party, Government and people always attach importance to and hope to further consolidate the traditional relationship between Vietnam and the DPRK in the new situation for the sake of both peoples, contributing to regional and international peace, stability and development.

Quan hailed the outcomes of talks between the delegation and Nhan dan newspaper officials, speaking highly of their regular exchange of delegations and professional experience which help enhance the Parties’ relations.

Leading the delegation to Vietnam this time, Ri Kyong Sop, Rodong’s deputy editor-in-chief, expressed his delight at Vietnam’s socio-economic developments over the past time.

He briefed the host on his country’s situation, affirming desires to promote the cooperation between the two newspapers, making contributions to developing the two countries’ time-honoured friendship and mutual understanding between the two people.-VNA
