Drug traffickers arrested at Vietnam-Laos border

The three traffickers, who came from the two Lao provinces of Savannakhet and Bolikhamxay, were caught red-handed at a spot near Lao Bao border gate transferring the heroin along with a K54 gun in a car.
A fourth suspect used a gun to resist the police and fled into the forest.
The traffickers confessed that they had bought the drugs in Vientiane, then brought it to the Vietnam-Laos border to sell into Vietnam .
The case has been transferred to Lao police for further investigation.-VNA
