Dry seafood is the sole staple of the seafood export mechanism that recorded a comprehensive growth rate in both volume and value, reported the Vietnam Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP).

According to the statistics of the General Department of Customs, Vietnam exported 22,500 tonnes of dry seafood worth 91.5 million USD in the first seven months of the year, year-on-year increases of 26 percent in volume and 14.2 percent in value.

The Republic of Korea was the leading importer of Vietnamese dry seafood. The others include other members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), China, Japan, Ukraine, the US and Russia./.
