Ecuador wants to ratchet up cooperation with Vietnam in various fields, particularly trade, politics, culture and social issues, Ecuadorian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Integration Ricardo Patino Aroca has said.

During the press conference in Hanoi on June 24, Minister Aroca urged the two countries to accelerate cooperation in the areas of their strengths, including trade, investment, agriculture, science and technology, culture and tourism.

Vietnam and Ecuador need to devise strategies to facilitate the easier market penetration for their signature products to bring maximum benefits for their people in return, the Minister said.

Cooperative and development plans between the two sides should be deployed concretely as soon as possible, Aroca underscored.

In addition to that, regular exchanges on development experience and political and diplomatic ties should be enhanced to help realise important trade agreements recently signed between the two countries, he noted.

The visiting Minister spoke of the effective poverty policies applicable in Vietnam for which the two countries’ leaders agreed to hold high-ranking dialogues to share experience in the field.

“In the coming time, experience sharing between the two countries will be furthered and this is the purpose of our visit to Vietnam this time,” Minister Ricardo Patino Aroca said.-VNA
