At a regular press conference of the Foreign Ministry in Hanoi on January 8, the Ministry’s Deputy Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang reported that the Ministry instructed the Embassy to promptly coordinate with relevant Malaysian agencies to verify the case as well as identifying those involved before bringing them home.
