Nearly 40 photos of ancient maps of Vietnam, China and western countries affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over the two archipelagoes of Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) are put on display at an exhibition that kicked off at the Hanoi Museum on January 17.

The exhibition also showcases nearly 40 photos on the life of Vietnamese soldiers and people on Truong Sa, along with a birth certificate to a Vietnamese girl born on Hoang Sa on December 7, 1939, and a copy of a statement by the Vietnamese delegation at a meeting in San Francisco in 1951 that Hoang Sa and Truong Sa belong to Vietnam.

Notably, for the first time, 33 coral blocks taken from Truong Sa are displayed at the exhibition entitled “Vietnam’s Hoang Sa and Truong Sa – Historical Evidence”.

It will welcome visitors to the end of March.-VNA
