An exhibition showcasing documents and artefacts connected to the life and career of great Russian poet Pushkin opened in Hanoi on February 11.

The event, jointly organised by the Hanoi-based Pushkin Sub-institute, and the Vietnam-Russian Friendship Association, is part of the activities to mark the 177 th death anniversary of the Russian poet (Feb. 10, 1937-2014).

Exhibits are selected from collections of the sub-institute and some collectives and individuals, including writer-translator Hoang Thuy Toan.

Those who love the Russian language and literature are offered a chance to hear translators and researchers briefing the life and career of Pushkin, who is considered the greatest poet of Russia and the founder of the modern Russian literature.

They also enjoy his works and Vietnamese versions of his love poems.
