Exhibition recalls General Giap’s life
Following the General’s
funeral, the exhibition helps visitors understand more about the revered
leader from his childhood to revolutionary activities, contributions to
the national construction and defence, and his daily life.
General Giap passed away in Hanoi on October 4 at the age of 103. As
an eminent disciple of President Ho Chi Minh, the first General and
Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnamese People’s Army, he was loved and
respected by the people and international friends, and was pride of
generations of officers and soldiers nationwide.
The same day, another exhibition themed “Moments without gun shots”
was also started at the museum with about 500 photos and objects
It will run until December 30 in celebration of the 69 th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22).-VNA
