Products of prestigious brands from the Republic of Korea (RoK) were available at the K-wave Festival which took place in Ho Chi Minh City on September 19-20.

The event was jointly organised by the Korea Small and Medium Business Administration (SMBA), the RoK Consulate General in HCM City and Vietnamese and RoK trade promotion agencies.

Nearly 50 RoK businesses offered hundreds of products in cosmetics, food, beverages, and consumer goods at their pavilions.

According to SMBA Chief Han Jung-hwa, besides popularising products, accessing consumers and exploring the market, RoK companies are seeking local distributors and importers to increase the presence of made-in-Korea products in Vietnam and other ASEAN member countries.

Particularly, the free trade agreement (FTA) signed between Vietnam and the RoK in May 2015 is expected to open numerous opportunities for businesses from the two sides.

RoK entrepreneurs hope to enhance cooperation with Vietnamese partners in potential fields such as investment, trade, production, and trade of consumer goods, food and cosmetics.-VNA
