Finnish enterprises said they are impressed by Vietnam ’s investment potential during a working session with Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai on September 26 in Helsinki .

In the meeting, representatives of businesses which are operating investment projects in Vietnam spoke highly of the efficiency of their investment, affirming that the country had significantly improved its business climate.

They also suggested the country facilitate more investment projects, especially in the context of the upcoming free trade agreement between Vietnam and the European Union.

The Vietnamese Deputy PM called upon Finnish enterprises to seek investment opportunities in Vietnam in green and clean technologies, renewable energy, forestry and education.

He informed business representatives that Vietnam has devised a number of incentives to create a transparent climate for international partners to do long-term business, while highlighting the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model applied in public projects.

The same day, Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai met with Finnish Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade Lenita Toivakka on measures to further boost economic-trade ties between the two countries.

He also visited several major groups and corporations in Finland before leaving for home on September 27.-VNA
