Da Nang (VNA) – The musical “K-Cultural Show – Two loving stars”, a combination between K-pop and opera, will be performed in the central city of Da Nang on June 22-24.

The show, which will be performed in Vietnam for the first time, is organised by the Trung Vuong Theatre in cooperation with Uijeongbu Arts Centre of the RoK.

This is one among activities to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the RoK.

The musical features well-known artists of Vietnam and the RoK, such as Lee Ji Suk, Han Yungyeon and Kim Minkyu, among others. It tells the romantic story of two lovers living in different worlds.

The show is a combination of contemporary dances and traditional folk dances, said Kim Kyujong, director of the show, also a member of the RoK Music Association.

Quang Hao, Acting director of Trung Vuong Theatre, the idea of introducing this mixture of two genres is to give the public a taste of opera and to test the influence of K-pop on older audience.-VNA
