Bangkok (VNA/NNT) – Foreign news agencies continue releasing rare pictures and videos of the late Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Many news agencies around the world have been keeping an eye on the situation in Thailand since the King passed away. They report that Thailand is in mourning as everyone is wearing black and white.

They say Thai people are gathering at state offices to sing the royal anthem, sign register books, and pay their respects to the late King.

The locals still have great loyalty and love for the late King, judging from their patience in waiting outside for long periods amid rain and hot weather to enter the Grand Palace where the Royal Funeral is taking place.

King Bhumibol Adulyadej, born in 1927, came to the throne in 1950 and is the world’s longest-reigning monarch at present. Considered a symbol of national unity, he is beloved by the Thai people thanks to more than 2,000 development projects that have given a facelift to the life of millions of poor farmers in the country.

He passed away on October 13 at the age of 88.-VNA
