Business operations abroad brought a profit of 592.2 billion VND (28.2 million USD) for Viettel Global Investment Joint Stock Company in its 2013 third quarter, according to the firm's report.

The Viettel Corporation member gained 3.1 trillion VND (147.6 million USD) in revenue in the third quarter. Its total revenue reached nearly 7.9 trillion VND (376.1 million USD) in the first nine months, over a third (35.2 percent) more than the same period last year.

The report shows that its nine-month total assets increased by 5 trillion VND (238 million USD), reaching more than 21.4 trillion VND (1.01 billion USD).

Viettel Global invests in telecommunications in Laos, Cambodia, Timor Leste, Mozambique, Cameroon and Haiti. Apart from Cameroon, where the company suffered a loss of 57.8 billion VND (2.7 million USD), the remaining markets have brought it profits.

Cambodia contributes the largest amount of profits with 277.3 billion VND (13.2 million USD), followed by Mozambique with 178.3 billion VND (8.4 million USD).

Viettel Global has six subsidiaries, including Viettel Overseas, Viettel Cambodia, Movitel,Viettel Timor Leste, and Viettel Cameroon.-VNA
