Binh Thuan (VNA) – Children in the central province of Binh Thuan raised their voice about violence and abuse and were heard by policy-makers at a forum on July 18.

The young participants expressed their hope to be able to grow up in a safe environment.

They got updated about the Child Law, including their rights and duties.

They also learned skills for violence detection and self-defence, in answer to their queries about child abuse and what to do as a victim of violence.

Ngo Van Duy, Vice Director of the Binh Thuan Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, highlighted the Party’s and Government’s great attention and efforts to protect the young generations.

He also talked about serious child abuse cases, which took place recently and provoked public outcries.

The forum sent out the message to the community on building a safe environment free from violence and abuse for children.-VNA
