Young talented French artist Charles Pasi will hold two jazz-rock concerts in Ho Chi Minh City on June 11 and Hanoi on June 13 as part of activities to mark the 40 th anniversary of Vietnam-France diplomatic ties.

Starting as a singer in a gospel choir at the age of 17, he then studied at the Saint Louis Jazz School in Rome and at Jazz CIM and Atla in Paris .

He joined Italian-French singer Carla Bruni’s tour and many jazz and blues festivals.

As a singer, guitarist and harmonicaist, Pasi is wholeheartedly into blues, jazz, rock and world music.

He has been asked to compose music for directors Valaria Bruni-Tedeschi’s Actries and Yann Moix’s Cineman .

His self-recorded album Mainly Blue in 2008 won the Memphis World Blues Challenge award in the US .

In 2011, he released his Uncage album with two pieces jointly performed with famous saxophonist Archie Shepp.-VNA
