The French navy frigate Le Vendemiaire with the 93-sailor crew on board docked at Vietnam's northern Hai Phong port on April 25, starting its six-day visit to the city.

Captain Stanislas de Chargeres will pay courtesy visits to leaders of the municipal People’s Committee, the High Command of Military Zone 3 and the Navy High Command.

The Maritime College under the Navy High Command will have the chance to explore the ship, whose name means “grape harvest”.

Put into operation in 1993, the surveillance ship with its base in Noumea , New Caledonia performs duties in the Pacific region.

The ship will leave Hai Phong on April 30, the day that marks a magnificent victory that reunified Vietnam. /.
