The Vietnamese Embassy in Laos on September 2 hosted an exchange with
former Lao students, who once studied in Vietnam on the 66 th
anniversary of Vietnam ’s National Day (Sept.2).

Ambassador Ta Minh Chau was moved receiving the Lao former students, and recalling the past unforgettable years when Vietnam while hosting those people had overcome numerous difficulties and hardships in the struggle to gain national independence and freedom.
Many of the former students currently hold key positions in the central and local authorities in Laos . They have made great contributions to defending and constructing their country as well as strengthening and nurturing the Vietnam-Laos special relations.
The participants expressed their profound sentiments and gratitude to Vietnam , pledging to do their utmost to boost the special friendship between the two countries./.
