The Vietnam – Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Friendship Association and the Vietnam Committee for Support of Peace and Unification for DPRK on September 6 hosted a get-together to mark the 63 rd National Day of DPRK.

Addressing the event, President of the Vietnam – DPRK Friendship Association Pham Tat Dong said he wished under the leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the DPRK people would reap greater achievements in national construction, defence and unification.

Dong stressed that the Vietnamese and DPRK people have friendly relations and long-standing cooperative ties which were founded and nurtured by Presidents Ho Chi Minh and Kim Il Sung, adding that regular exchange activities between people’s friendship organisations contributed to promoting the two countries’ fine traditional relations.

Dong said he believed that through common efforts, Vietnam and DPRK would continue strengthening their traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation to contribute to establishing and fortifying a stable peace and cooperation in the Asia-Pacific and all over the world.

DPRK Ambassador to Vietnam, Kim Chang Il said he believed the Vietnamese people would continue obtaining new and greater achievements in the national construction and development towards industrialisation and modernisation./.
