Gov’t to ask NA to approve new Deputy PMs
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung
will ask for the National Assembly (NA)’s approval of two new Deputy
Prime Ministers at the sixth NA session which will open in Hanoi on
October 21.

Phuc unveiled the information at a press conference on the contents of
the session on October 17.
The PM will submit his
request to get the NA’s approval for the dismissal of Nguyen Thien Nhan
in his capacity as Deputy Prime Minister as Nhan has assumed a new
position, Phuc said.
During the 41-day session, the
NA will discuss and approve the draft amendments to the 1992
Constitution and eight bills, and comment on 12 others.
NA deputies will discuss, debate and approve reports on the
implementation of the 2013 socio-economic development plan, the 2014
socio-economic development plan, the implementation of the five-year
(2011-2015) development plan, and the economic restructuring master
plan.
According to Phuc, the NA will also review
reports of the Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court, the Procurator
General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy and of the Government on the
execution of judgments.
The deputies will discuss
reports on the supervision of the implementation of health insurance
policies for the 2009-2012 period and on the results of reviewing
hydropower project planning and investment.-VNA
