The fifth National Environment Film Festival will be held at the end of this year.

It is being organised by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in conjunction with the Vietnam Cinema Association and the Vietnam Television.

Entries to date include feature films, documentaries, reportage and cartoons with an environmental theme produced between January 1 and November 1 this year. They must reach the jury no later than November 1.

Feature films should be no longer than 100 minutes, documentaries, between five and 30 minutes, and cartoons, between three and 15 minutes.

The event, held every three years since 1998, aims to encourage filmmakers to cover environment topics and enhance people's knowledge on protecting the environment.-VNA
