More than 800 health and hospital managers from 24 countries across the world have gathered for the 2012 Hospital Management Asia Conference, which got underway in Hanoi on September 13.

Organised by the Ministry of Public Health, in cooperation with other Asian Hospitals’ Federations and international organisations, the two-day event includes six p lenary briefings, 38 workshops and a summit, focusing on managing hospitals more effectively.

In her opening speech to the conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Xuyen said that the event will provide delegates with the opportunity to share their knowledge and experience in managing healthcare services and hospitals, to ensure that people have access to high quality healthcare services.

On the occasion, the ‘Asian Hospital Management’ awards will be presented to groups and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to improving the quality of healthcare services.-VNA
