Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam Top Publishers Summit 2016 opened in Hanoi on September 7, drawing more than 100 delegates who are leaders and chief editors of 100 leading electronic newspapers and websites, as well as and major website publishers and mobile application developers in Vietnam.

The event, the third of its kind in 2016, aims to enhance the advertisement values of websites in Vietnam through the setting up of a website owners’ alliance to create high-quality products.

Participants updated the growth of the digital advertisement market in Vietnam and the world, while sharing difficulties they are facing when reaching advertisement budget of top brands in the world and mistakes that web owners made in the work.

At the same time, they also discussed current trends of advertising pursued by website owners globally as well as ways to approach advertising budget of global names.

They also had a chance to talk to senior officials of Google on issues related to Google products and advertisement policy as well as difficulties during cooperation between Google and websites in Vietnam .

The summit heard that until 2020, budget for digital advertisement will reach 285 billion USD, accounting for one third of the global investment for advertising. In Asia , the budget is estimated to reach 70 billion USD, 50 percent of which is forecast to be poured into the Chinese market.

Participants held that website owners in Vietnam are being hindered by poor application of advanced technology and weak human resources. They pointed to the need to form an alliance of website owners while exploring requirements of brands to offer suitable advertisement measures.

After Hanoi , the summit will be held in Ho Chi Minh City.-VNA
