Hanoi (VNA) - Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hanoi Nguyen Duc Chung hoped for more stellar developments in the relations between Hanoi and Budapest during a reception for visiting Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto on January 12.

Chung wanted Hungary to share experience in management, economic development and human resource training with Hanoi.

For his part, the Hungarian guest stated that his country will ensure a soft credit worth 500 million EUR (541.4 million USD) for projects in Vietnam, including Hanoi’s Red River-based water plant.

The two sides agreed to enhance exchange and cooperation in water management, food and healthcare.

On the same day, the Hanoi leader greeted Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam Teck Hean.

They hailed the collaboration between Hanoi and Singapore, committing to bolstering two cities’ ties across human resource training, real estate, infrastructure and industrial zone development.

The Hanoi leader affirmed that favourable conditions will be created for Singaporean businesses to land investment in the capital city after the Ambassador informed him of his country’s plan to develop a hi-industrial zone in Hanoi’s Gia Lam district.

Earlier, Chung received the UK’s Ambassador to Vietnam Giles Lever, expressing his hope for stronger cooperation in education and tourism with British cities.

Meanwhile, the UK Ambassador wished to join hands with Vietnam in fields of the UK’s strengths like infrastructure construction and financial credit.-VNA
