Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi authority has approved an architecture plan on Hoa Sen theatre floating on a lake between Yen Hoa (Cau Giay district) and My Dinh (Nam Tu Liem district), according to the city’s Department of Architecture and Planning.

Covering an area of 4 hectares, the six-level opera house, with the design of a lotus floating on water, will feature 2,000 seats and other services, including an entertainment area, an ice-ring and offices

The centre, which is expected to be Hanoi’s biggest and most modern theatre, is a part of the CV1 Park which is located in the conjunction area between Duong Dinh Nghe and Pham Hung streets.

The park, whose work started earlier this year, has a total area of 32 hectares, including 19 hectares of water surface.

In 2017, the city plans to finish the construction of four parks, including Mai Dich park, Nhan Chinh park, a park of the Duong Noi new urban area and Phung Khoang lake park.

Hanoi expects to complete the construction of the Kim Quy culture, tourism and entertainment park in the outlying district of Dong Anh in 2019.

The city will call for investment for other 11 parks in different localities by 2020.-VNA
